Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Kano city, start at the central area, such as Gidan Makama Museum. Head north on Kofar Nasarawa Road until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the exit onto Kawo Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and residential areas. Keep an eye out for local signs pointing towards Gadon Kaya. When you reach Gadon Kaya, look for Rooster Rock Park, which is located near the main street. It should be visible from the road, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.

• Bicycle

  For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle. Starting from the Kano City Wall, cycle north towards Kofar Nasarawa Road. Once you reach the roundabout, take the exit onto Kawo Road. Continue cycling straight for about 2 kilometers. As you ride, enjoy the scenery of the neighborhoods. You will eventually arrive at Gadon Kaya; keep an eye out for Rooster Rock Park along the main street. Parking is available for bicycles outside the park.

• Public Transport (Motorcycle Taxi)

  To get to Rooster Rock Park using a motorcycle taxi, find a nearby motorcycle stand in Kano city. Inform the rider that you want to go to Gadon Kaya, specifically Rooster Rock Park. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Gadon Kaya, ask the rider to drop you near the main entrance of the park. Motorcycle taxis are a convenient and popular mode of transport in Kano.
