Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Kano Central Mosque, head east on Bayero Road towards the intersection with Zaria Road. Turn left onto Zaria Road and continue north until you reach the intersection with Kawo Road. At this intersection, turn right onto Kawo Road. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs directing you towards Gadon Kaya. Continue walking straight, and after another 500 meters, you will arrive at Rooster Rock Park located on your left.

  • Bus

    From the Gidan Murtala Bus Station, take a bus heading towards Kawo. Ensure you inform the conductor that your destination is Gadon Kaya. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gadon Kaya, disembark and walk towards Kawo Road. Rooster Rock Park will be approximately a 10-minute walk straight ahead from your drop-off point.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Kano Emir's Palace and head south on Kofar Mata Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Zaria Road, where you will turn right. Follow Zaria Road until you reach Kawo Road, then turn left. Continue cycling straight for about 2 kilometers, and Rooster Rock Park will be on your left side. This route offers a scenic view of the city and is a pleasant ride.
