Getting There

Car
From Ogbunike Caves, head southeast on the Ogbunike-Awka Road towards Ozubulu. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the junction with Ozubulu Road. Turn left onto Ozubulu Road and drive for about 2 kilometers. You will see a sign for Olili Akpata Forest on your right. Turn right and follow the access road to the forest entrance. Ensure you have some cash (around 1000 NGN) for parking fees if applicable.

Public Transportation
From Ogbunike Caves, take a motorcycle taxi (okada) to the nearest bus stop on the Ogbunike-Awka Road. You should expect to pay around 200 NGN for this ride. At the bus stop, look for a bus heading towards Ozubulu. The fare for the bus ride should be approximately 300 NGN. Once you arrive in Ozubulu, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the junction with Ozubulu Road. From there, you can take a motorcycle taxi (okada) to Olili Akpata Forest for about 150 NGN.

Walking
If you prefer walking and are up for an adventure, from Ogbunike Caves, you can walk to Ozubulu Road. It is about a 5-kilometer walk and will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you reach Ozubulu Road, follow the previous directions to reach Olili Akpata Forest. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
