From the center of Onitsha, start at the Onitsha Main Market. Head south on Creek Road towards the Niger Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight to the junction at the end of the bridge. Turn left onto the Awka Road (A3). Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the town of Awka. Keep an eye out for local signs to Nnamdi Azikiwe University as you approach Awka. Once you are near the university, look for directional signs leading to Unizik Forest and Wildlife Conservation Area 3.

From the Onitsha Main Market, take a bus or motorcycle taxi (okada) heading to Awka. Inform the driver you want to go to Nnamdi Azikiwe University. The journey should take around 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. You may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance.
