Car
From Middlegate, head south on the main road towards the Norfolk Island Airport. After approximately 4 km, turn left onto the Headstone Road. Continue for about 1.5 km until you reach the Headstone Point car park. There is no entry fee for parking. The walk from the car park to the viewpoint is about 500 meters along a well-marked path.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, check the local bus schedule for routes heading towards the airport. Board a bus that stops at the Norfolk Island Airport. Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to walk approximately 4.5 km south on the main road to reach Headstone Point. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport, which should cost around $20-$30 AUD. Taxis are usually available at the airport.
Walking
For those who prefer to walk, starting from Middlegate, take the main road heading south towards the airport. It's about a 4 km walk. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the Headstone Road junction, turn left and continue for another 1.5 km to the Headstone Point car park. This option is suitable for those in good health and with enough time to enjoy the surroundings.
