Getting There

Walking
From the center of Norfolk Island, head towards the Norfolk Island National Park. Start at the Burnt Pine area, where you can find the main road, known as New Cascade Road. Walk along New Cascade Road heading towards the North East of the island. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to the Norfolk Island National Park. Continue straight into the park, and follow the signs towards Bird Rock Lookout. The trail will lead you through beautiful scenery and eventually to the lookout point, which offers stunning views of the coastline.

Walking
If you are starting from the Kingston area, head northwest along the main road. Continue on the road until you reach the junction with New Cascade Road. Turn right onto New Cascade Road and follow the path into the Norfolk Island National Park. Walk for about 1 kilometer, and look for signs indicating the direction to Bird Rock Lookout. The walk is scenic, with plenty of opportunities for photography along the way.
