If you're starting from Cherokee, NC, head south on US-441 S for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Blue Ridge Parkway (signs will direct you). Continue on the Blue Ridge Parkway for approximately 9 miles. The Thomas Divide Overlook is located at Milepost 463.9 on the right side of the road. Be sure to look for the overlook sign, as the parking area is just off the parkway.

While there is no direct public transportation to Thomas Divide Overlook, you can take a local shuttle from Cherokee to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once you reach the Blue Ridge Parkway, you will need to either walk or arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the overlook, which is approximately 5 miles away from the nearest shuttle drop-off point.
