Getting There

Bus
From downtown Asheville, you can take the Asheville Transit bus route 170, which heads towards Brevard. Board the bus at the nearest stop, and make sure to get a day pass if you plan to use the bus multiple times. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Tuckaseegee Park' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Triple Falls. Head south on US-276. When you reach the entrance to Dupont State Recreational Forest, follow the signs to the Triple Falls trailhead.

Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in downtown Asheville. Head towards the Blue Ridge Parkway via US-25 and then take the exit towards US-276. Continue on US-276 until you reach Dupont State Recreational Forest. The bike ride is about 15 miles and will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the forest, park your bike at the visitor center and walk to the Triple Falls trailhead which is about a 1-mile hike from the center.

For those who enjoy a longer walk, you can start from downtown Asheville and head south on Biltmore Avenue. After about 2 miles, it will merge into US-25. Continue walking along US-25 for about 3 miles until you reach the entrance of Dupont State Recreational Forest. Once there, follow the signs to the Triple Falls trailhead, which is approximately a 1-mile walk from the entrance.
