If you are starting at the heart of Boone, such as the Appalachian State University campus, head northeast on Blowing Rock Road (US-321). Walk along the sidewalk for about 0.5 miles, and then take a left onto Tracy Circle. Continue on Tracy Circle for about 0.2 miles, and you will find Children's Playhouse on your right at 400 Tracy Cir.

You can catch a bus from Boone to Children's Playhouse. Look for the AppalCART bus service and take the Gold Route. Board the bus at the nearest stop, which could be at Appalachian State University or the Boone Mall. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of Blowing Rock Road and Tracy Circle. From there, it's a short walk of about 0.2 miles down Tracy Circle to reach Children's Playhouse, which will be on your right.

If you have access to a bike, you can take a scenic route. Start at the center of Boone and head east on Blowing Rock Road (US-321). After about 0.5 miles, take a left onto Tracy Circle.
