Walking
If you are starting from downtown Boone, head south on King Street (NC-105) towards the intersection with Horn in the West Drive. After approximately 0.6 miles, turn right onto Horn in the West Drive. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles, and you will see the Hickory Ridge History Museum on your left at 591 Horn in the W Dr.

From the Appalachian State University campus, take the AppalCart bus (Route 2) towards Blowing Rock. Get off at the stop at Horn in the West. From there, walk about 0.2 miles down Horn in the West Drive, and the Hickory Ridge History Museum will be on your right at 591 Horn in the W Dr.

If you are renting a bike, start from the Boone Greenway Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with King Street. Turn right onto King Street and continue south for about 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Horn in the West Drive and cycle for another 0.3 miles until you see the museum on your left at 591 Horn in the W Dr.
