From Gatlinburg, TN, take US-441 S (also known as the Parkway) towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Continue on US-441 S for about 6 miles. Look for the entrance to the park on your left. Once inside the park, continue on the Newfound Gap Road (US-441) for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Cove Mountain Trail. After a short distance, you will find the parking area for the trailhead to Cataract Falls. Parking is free, but be sure to adhere to any regulations or signage in the area.

If you are using public transportation, first take a shuttle or taxi service from your location in Gatlinburg to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
