Walking

From Old Irving Park, head south towards the nearest major road. If you are near the intersection of Fernwood Dr and Irving Park Rd, walk south on Irving Park Rd until you reach W Friendly Ave. Turn left on W Friendly Ave and continue walking until you reach S Elm St. At S Elm St, turn right and walk south for several blocks. The International Civil Rights Center & Museum will be on your left at 134 S Elm St. This route is approximately 1.5 miles and should take around 30-35 minutes on foot.
Public Transportation - Bus

Locate the nearest bus stop on Irving Park Rd. Take the GTA bus route #1 (Greensboro Transit Authority) towards the city center. You will need to pay a fare of $1.00 for a one-way ticket, which you can purchase directly from the bus driver. Stay on the bus for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the stop for S Elm St. Walk a short distance south on S Elm St, and the International Civil Rights Center & Museum will be on your left at 134 S Elm St.
