Walking
If you're in downtown Greenville, start at the intersection of Evans Street and 5th Street. Head south on Evans Street until you reach Reade Circle. Continue walking straight until you hit the intersection with East 10th Street. Turn right onto East 10th Street and walk for about a quarter of a mile until you see the entrance to the South Tar River Greenway on your left. Look for the greenway signage at the entrance.

For a bike-friendly route, begin at the Greenville Town Common. Head west on the greenway path towards the Tar River. Follow the path along the river until you reach the intersection with East 10th Street. Continue on the path until you see the signs for the South Tar River Greenway entrance. This route offers beautiful views along the river and is approximately 1 mile long.

Public Transit
If you prefer using public transport, take the Greenville Area Transit (GAT) bus to the stop at 5th Street and Evans Street (Route 1 or 2). From the bus stop, walk south on Evans Street until you reach Reade Circle. Turn right onto East 10th Street, and walk about a quarter of a mile until you see the entrance to the South Tar River Greenway on your left. Check the GAT schedule for the latest routes and times.
