Getting There

Public Bus
Start at the Hickory Transit Station, located at 805 1st Ave SW, Hickory, NC 28602. Board the Catawba Valley Transit Authority bus heading towards Conover. Inform the driver that you are going to Love Valley. The bus will take you along NC-70 E. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop on NC-70 E near the intersection with Love Valley Road. From there, walk along Love Valley Road for about 1.5 miles, and you will reach Love Valley.

Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Hickory, such as Hickory Bike Shop located at 209 2nd St SW, Hickory, NC 28602. Once you have your bike, head north on 2nd St SW until you reach the intersection with 1st Ave NW. Turn left on 1st Ave NW, and continue until you reach US-321 N. Turn right onto US-321 N and follow it for about 3 miles. Take the exit towards NC-10 W and follow the signs to Love Valley, which is about 5 miles further on NC-10 W.
