From High Country, take US-321 S towards Lenoir. Merge onto I-40 E and continue for approximately 45 miles. Take exit 213 for US-220 S toward Greensboro. Stay on US-220 S, which will merge into I-73 S/US-220 S. Continue on I-73 S until you reach exit 36 for W. Friendly Ave. Merge onto W. Friendly Ave and then take a left onto Summit Ave. The Greensboro History Museum will be on your right at 130 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27401.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus from the nearest station in Boone, NC, to Greensboro. Once you arrive at the Greensboro bus station, you can take a local bus (GTA Bus Route 1) towards the downtown area. Get off at the stop on W. Friendly Ave at N. Greene St. From there, it's a short walk to the museum. Head east on W. Friendly Ave, then turn left on Summit Ave. The museum will be on your right.
