Getting There

    From any point in Uwharrie National Forest, locate Highway 49. If you're in the northern sections of the forest, follow the signs to get onto Highway 49 South. Continue on Highway 49 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Badin Lake Road. Turn left onto Badin Lake Road and drive for about 3 miles. Look for the entrance to Badin Lake Recreation Area on your right, where there are signs directing you to the OHV Trail. Please note that parking may require a small fee, so have some cash on hand.

    If you are relying on public transportation, you will first need to reach the nearest city with bus services, which is Troy, NC. From Uwharrie National Forest, you can take a local bus to Troy.
