Getting There

  • Public Transit

    Start at the Charlotte Transportation Center located at 310 E Trade St, Charlotte, NC 28202. From there, take the CATS bus route 12 (the 'Reedy Creek' route) towards Reedy Creek Park. Get off at the stop at Rocky River Rd and East W.T. Harris Blvd. This should be around 30-40 minutes. After getting off the bus, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile. Head northeast on Rocky River Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach 2900 Rocky River Rd. The Robinson Rock House Ruins will be on your left. Be careful as the walking area might not have sidewalks in some parts.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from any of the local bike-sharing programs available in downtown Charlotte. Start at the Charlotte Transportation Center and head northeast on E Trade St towards N Tryon St. Continue straight onto E W.T. Harris Blvd. After about 3 miles, turn left onto Rocky River Rd. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach 2900 Rocky River Rd. The ruins will be on your left. The ride may take about 25-30 minutes depending on your speed.

    If you're near the Eastland neighborhood in Charlotte, you can walk to the Robinson Rock House Ruins. Start at Eastland Mall, located at 5461 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28212. Walk northeast on Central Ave towards E W.T. Harris Blvd. Continue on E W.T. Harris Blvd for about 1.5 miles. Then, turn right onto Rocky River Rd. Walk for another half mile, and you will reach 2900 Rocky River Rd. The ruins will be visible on your left. This walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes.
