If you are traveling by car, you will want to start from the center of Yadkin Valley. Head southwest on US-21 S towards Wilkesboro. Continue on US-21 S for approximately 20 miles. Merge onto NC-194 N via the exit toward Newland. Follow NC-194 N for about 15 miles until you reach Newland. Once in Newland, turn left onto Schultz Cir. The Avery County Museum will be on your left at 1829 Schultz Cir, Newland, NC 28657. There is no cost for parking at the museum.
