Walking
From the center of Cavalier, head west on 2nd St N toward 5th Ave N. Continue straight onto the gravel path leading out of town. Follow the path until you reach the junction with US Highway 81. Turn left (south) onto US Highway 81. Continue walking along the highway for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with ND-1. At this point, you will need to follow the signs leading to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Please note that this route is approximately 6 miles from Cavalier to the park entrance.

Starting from the city park in Cavalier, take the path leading to 2nd St N and head west. Once you reach 5th Ave N, transition to the gravel path and continue straight. After about a mile, you'll reach US Highway 81. Turn left onto US Highway 81 and bike south for 5 miles. Keep an eye out for signs to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This scenic route offers beautiful views and is about 6 miles total to the park entrance.
