Board the bus that heads toward St. Michael. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in St. Michael, disembark at the stop nearest to Park Drive. From there, walk south along Park Drive for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance of White Horse Hill National Game Preserve.

If you are comfortable biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Devils Lake. Start your journey by heading southeast on 2nd St SE and then turn left onto 7th Ave SE. Follow the road until you reach US-2 E. Take the bike path alongside US-2 for approximately 10 miles. As you approach St. Michael, look for signs directing you to Park Drive. Turn onto Park Drive and follow it for about 1 mile until you reach the White Horse Hill National Game Preserve.

For those who prefer to walk, begin at the Devils Lake City Park. Head east on 1st St NE and then turn south onto 6th Ave NE, which will lead you toward US-2. Walk along the side of US-2 for approximately 10 miles. Be mindful of traffic as you walk. Upon reaching St. Michael, turn onto Park Drive. Continue walking south on Park Drive for about 1 mile to reach the entrance of White Horse Hill National Game Preserve.
