If you're starting from downtown Mandan, head east on Main St. towards 1st Ave. SE. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 3rd St. SE. Turn left onto 3rd St. SE and walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Missouri River. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge. Once across, you'll find yourself in Bismarck. Continue straight onto E Avenue B, and after about 0.4 miles, you will arrive at the Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site, located at 320 E Avenue B.

Biking
From downtown Mandan, you can rent a bike from a local bike share program. Start by heading east on Main St. towards 1st Ave. SE. After about 0.2 miles, take a right onto 3rd St. SE. Follow 3rd St. SE until it leads you to the Missouri River. Use the bike path to cross the river via the pedestrian bridge. Once in Bismarck, continue straight on E Avenue B for about 0.4 miles. The Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site will be on your left at 320 E Avenue B.

If you prefer public transportation, you can catch the local bus service from Mandan to Bismarck. Head to the nearest bus stop and take the bus that goes towards Bismarck. After approximately 15-20 minutes, disembark at a stop near the Missouri River. From there, walk towards E Avenue B and continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you arrive at the Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site located at 320 E Avenue B.
