If you are starting from the Bismarck Downtown area (for example, near the Bismarck Event Center), head east on E Main Ave. Continue on E Main Ave until you reach 6th St. Turn left (north) on 6th St and walk until you reach E Boulevard Ave. Turn right (east) onto E Boulevard Ave. The North Dakota State Capitol will be on your left at 600 E Boulevard Ave. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20 minutes.

From the Bismarck Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop on 5th St and Main Ave. Take the Route 2 bus towards the North Dakota State Capitol. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, the Capitol will be located at 600 E Boulevard Ave, just a short walk from the bus stop.
