Walking
If you are in downtown Mandan, start at the intersection of Main Street and 1st Avenue NW. Head north on Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Mandan Depot. From there, turn left onto 6th Avenue NW and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. You will cross the bridge over the Missouri River. Once you reach the other side, continue straight onto E Avenue B. The Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site will be on your right at 320 E Avenue B in Bismarck, approximately 0.4 miles from the bridge.

To reach the Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site via public transit, take the Mandan Transit bus from the Mandan Depot. Board the bus heading towards Bismarck and disembark at the nearest stop to E Avenue B. After exiting the bus, walk east along E Avenue B for about 0.2 miles, and you will find the Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site at 320 E Avenue B.
