Car
If you are already in Sheyenne National Grassland and have access to a car, start by heading south on ND-1 from the center of the grassland. Continue for approximately 9 miles until you reach the junction with ND-13 East. Take a left onto ND-13 East and drive for about 5 miles. You will then exit onto 110th Ave SE, which is a gravel road. Follow this road for about 2 miles, and you will see signage for Metzer Waterfowl Production Area. The entrance is located just off the road.

For those who prefer cycling, you can use the same route as for cars. Start from the center of Sheyenne National Grassland and take ND-1 south. The ride is approximately 9 miles to ND-13 East, then left on ND-13 for about 5 miles.
