From Kristiansand, take the E39 highway north towards Stavanger. Continue on E39 for about 1 hour (approximately 70 km) until you reach the exit towards Lysebotn. Follow the signs for Rv. 45, which will lead you through beautiful mountainous terrain. After around 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Kjerag parking area, which is a popular starting point for the hike. Note that there might be a parking fee, which usually costs around 200 NOK per day.

From Kristiansand, take a bus to Stavanger. Check the local bus schedules for departures, as they may vary. Once in Stavanger, you can catch a regional bus to Lysebotn. The bus to Lysebotn runs seasonally, so be sure to check the timetable in advance. When you arrive in Lysebotn, the Kjerag parking area is within walking distance.
