Getting There

Start your journey at the Ålesund town center, preferably near the main square (St. Olavs Plass). From there, head north on Kongens gate, which turns into Løvenvoldgata. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Storgata. Turn right onto Storgata and walk until you see the Aksla viewpoint on your left. Follow the signs to Aksla, which will lead you towards the foot of the mountain.

Once you reach the Aksla footpath, follow the well-marked trail that leads up the mountain. It is a steep hike, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The trail will wind up through the woods and offer beautiful views of the city and the surrounding fjords.
