Walking
If you are in the city center of Ålesund, start at the main square called 'Apotekergata'. From there, head southeast on Apotekergata street until you reach the intersection with Storgata. Turn left onto Storgata and continue walking until you reach the next intersection. At the intersection, turn right onto Borgundgavlen street. Continue walking straight; you will see the Middelaldermuseet located at Borgundgavlen 21 on your left. The museum is approximately a 15-minute walk from the city center.

From the city center, you can take bus number 3 toward 'Moavegen' from the bus stop located near the Apotekergata. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops. Get off at the 'Borgundgavlen' bus stop, which is the closest stop to Middelaldermuseet. From the bus stop, walk a short distance back toward Borgundgavlen street, and you will find the museum at Borgundgavlen 21. The total travel time will be around 15-20 minutes.
