Bus
To reach Alstadløkka from the center of Bodø, start by heading to the main bus station located at Storgata 1. From there, take bus number 4 towards Alstad. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to notify the driver to stop at Alstadløkka, as this is a designated stop. Once you arrive, you will be right at the entrance to the hiking area.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Bodø. Head out from the city center towards Rv80 (the main road). Follow the bike path along the road heading northeast. After about 5 km, you will see signage for Alstadløkka. The area is well-marked, and a cycling route will lead you directly to the entrance of the hiking area.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route from the city center. Start at the waterfront promenade and head towards the Rønvik area. Continue along the path that follows the coastline for approximately 4 km, enjoying the views of the fjord. Once you reach Rv80, cross the road and follow the path leading up to Alstadløkka. The total walk will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
