Start at Bodø sentrum (the city center). Walk to the Bodø bus terminal located near the main square. From there, take bus line 2 towards 'Kjerringøy'. This bus will take approximately 20 minutes to reach the stop 'Bratten'. Once you get off at Bratten, you'll find yourself on Bratten 7. Walk a short distance towards the direction of the scenic trails, and you will find Bestefarsvarden, known for its stunning views.

If you prefer to walk from Bodø sentrum, head north towards the waterfront and follow the path along the coast. This scenic route will take you through beautiful landscapes and may take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you reach Bratten, look for signs directing you to Bestefarsvarden, which is just a short hike away from the main path.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bodø sentrum. Follow the coastal road north, which is bike-friendly, and head towards Bratten. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Upon reaching Bratten, park your bike and follow the trail to Bestefarsvarden. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way!
