Keiservarden: A Majestic Summit Overlooking Bodø

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Bodø, start at the Bus Station (Bodø Stasjon). Head southeast on Storgata towards Sjøgata. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Rønvikveien. Turn left onto Rønvikveien and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Keiservarden. You will eventually reach a trailhead entrance. Follow the marked trail up the mountain, which is about a 1.5-kilometer hike to the summit. The hike is moderately challenging but offers stunning views of the surrounding area.

• Public Transport

  From the Bodø Bus Station, take Bus 100 towards Rønvik. The bus departs every 30 minutes. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Rønvik stop (Rønvikveien). From the bus stop, walk along Rønvikveien for about 500 meters until you see the trailhead for Keiservarden. Follow the signs and the marked trail leading to the summit, which will take approximately 30-45 minutes of hiking.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike in Bodø. Start at the Bodø City Center and head north on Storgata until you reach Rønvikveien. Turn left onto Rønvikveien and continue biking for about 2 kilometers. Look for the trailhead on your right. Park your bike at the designated area and begin your hike up to Keiservarden. The biking route is relatively easy and offers beautiful views along the way.
