Getting There

  • Bus

    From Bodø city center, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 'Rådhuset' (City Hall). Catch bus number 4 towards 'Kjerringøy'. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop called 'Børtindgata'. From there, the Norwegian Aviation Museum is a short 5-minute walk. Head down Børtindgata towards the direction of the airport, and you will see the museum on your left.

    If you're in the central area of Bodø, you can also walk to the Norwegian Aviation Museum. Start at the Bodø Cathedral, facing the cathedral, head east toward 'Storgata'. Turn left on Storgata and walk until you reach the intersection with 'Børtindgata'. Turn right onto Børtindgata, and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. The museum will be on your left.

    For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Bodø. Start from the Bodø city center and head towards 'Kongens gate'. Continue onto 'Storgata' and then take a left onto 'Børtindgata'. Follow Børtindgata for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Norwegian Aviation Museum on your left. There are bike racks available at the museum.
