Getting There

Public Bus
From the center of Bodø, walk to the Bodø Bus Station located at Storgata 2. Take Bus 2 towards 'Bodø Rådhus' and get off at the stop 'Mørkved'. From Mørkved, transfer to Bus 8 towards 'Bodø'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Kjerringøy'. From here, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Storliryggen. Follow the signs that direct you to the hiking trail, which starts from the parking area.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Bodø. After securing your bike, head toward the harbor and follow the coastal road. Continue cycling along the waterfront until you reach the junction for Kjerringøy. This route will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your cycling speed. Once you arrive at Kjerringøy, park your bike and walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to the hiking trail leading to Storliryggen.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Bodø city center and make your way towards Storgata. Continue walking north until you reach the junction for Kjerringøy. The total walking distance is about 10 kilometers and will take roughly 2-3 hours. Be sure to follow the pedestrian paths and look for signs directing you to the Kjerringøy area. Once you arrive at Kjerringøy, follow the path leading to the Storliryggen hiking trail.
