From Fredrikstad city center, walk to the Fredrikstad Bus Station located next to the Fredrikstad train station. Take bus number 1 towards Sandefjord. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop called 'Helgerødveien'. This journey will take approximately 45 minutes. After you get off, walk about 10 minutes along Helgerødveien, and you will arrive at The Gokstad Mound.

Start at Fredrikstad Railway Station. Take the train heading towards Oslo and get off at Sandefjord Station. From Sandefjord Station, you can either take a local bus (bus number 1) towards Helgerødveien or take a taxi. If you choose the bus, get off at the 'Helgerødveien' stop, which is about a 10-minute walk from The Gokstad Mound.

If you are already nearby, you can walk to The Gokstad Mound. From the center of Fredrikstad, head west towards the river and cross the bridge. Continue walking straight until you reach Helgerødveien. Turn right onto Helgerødveien, and follow it for about 30 minutes until you see the Gokstad Mound on your left.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Fredrikstad. Start at the city center and head towards the river, following the bike path alongside the riverbank.
