Car
If you are driving, start from Reine and take the E10 highway heading east towards Leknes. Continue on the E10 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Unstad. Take the exit towards Unstad and follow signs to Unstad Beach. Once you arrive at Unstad Beach, park your car in the designated parking area. From the parking lot, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers towards the east along a well-marked trail that leads directly to Hanna’s cairn.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Leknes to Unstad. The bus service operates several times a day, but it's important to check the timetable in advance. Once you arrive at the Unstad bus stop, you will need to walk to Unstad Beach. The walk is roughly 1 kilometer along a scenic path. After reaching Unstad Beach, follow the marked trail for about 1.5 kilometers to get to Hanna’s cairn. Note that bus tickets may cost around 50-100 NOK depending on the distance.
Hiking
If you're already in the vicinity and prefer hiking, you can access the trailhead directly from Unstad Beach. Start your hike from the beach and take the marked hiking trail leading east. The trail is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water. The hike to Hanna’s cairn takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
