Getting There

• Bus

  From Molde city center, walk to the Molde Bus Station located on Storgata. Take the bus number 120 towards Åndalsnes. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Åndalsnes Bus Station, exit the bus and look for signs directing you to Trollstigen. You can either continue by bus (check for local buses heading to Trollstigen during the summer months) or take a taxi which will take around 30 minutes to reach the Trollstigen Foothill Viewpoint.

• Bike

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Molde. Head out of the city on the E39 road towards Åndalsnes. Follow the road signs for approximately 30 kilometers. The ride will take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Åndalsnes, follow the signs for Trollstigen which will lead you to the viewpoint. Be prepared for steep climbs and ensure you have sufficient water and snacks.

• Hiking

  If you are an adventurous traveler, consider hiking from Åndalsnes to Trollstigen. Start at the Åndalsnes Bus Station and follow the Romsdalseggen trail, which offers stunning views of the fjords and mountains. This hike is challenging and will take a full day (approximately 6-8 hours), so be sure to start early in the morning. Make sure you have proper hiking gear, food, and water.
