Varden: A Scenic Overlook of Kristiansund

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Varden from the center of Kristiansund, head north on Storgata. Follow the road as it becomes Kongens Plass, then continue onto Erling Skjalgssons gate. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Hagbart Brinchmanns vei. Varden will be on your left at number 10, with ample parking available nearby.

  To reach Varden using public transportation, start at Kristiansund bus station. Take bus line 1 towards Kirkelandet and get off at the 'Hagbart Brinchmanns vei' stop. From there, it's a short walk of about 300 meters to Varden. Head east on Hagbart Brinchmanns vei, and you will see Varden on your left at number 10.

  If you are in the vicinity of Kristiansund's city center and prefer to walk, head northeast on Storgata. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Erling Skjalgssons gate. Turn left and follow the road until it merges into Hagbart Brinchmanns vei. Varden will be on your left at number 10, providing a scenic walk with great views of the city.

  For cycling enthusiasts, rent a bike in Kristiansund and start from the city center. Head north on Storgata, which will lead you to Kongens Plass. Continue onto Erling Skjalgssons gate and then left onto Hagbart Brinchmanns vei. It's a straightforward route of approximately 2 kilometers, and you can lock up your bike at Varden once you arrive at number 10.
