Fossen Camping: Your Gateway to Geiranger's Natural Wonders

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, drive towards Geiranger. From Ålesund, take the E39 road towards Molde, then follow the signs to Geiranger on the FV63 road. Continue on FV63 until you reach Geiranger. Once in Geiranger, follow Geirangerveien and look for Fossen Camping at Geirangerveien 261. The camp is well marked and has ample parking available.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Ålesund to Geiranger. The bus service is operated by Nettbuss, and you can check their schedule online. The journey takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at Geiranger, you can either walk (about 10 minutes) or take a short taxi ride to Fossen Camping located at Geirangerveien 261. Taxis can be found at the bus stop or called directly.

• Bicycle

  For adventure seekers, cycling to Fossen Camping is a great option. From the town center of Geiranger, you can rent a bicycle and take Geirangerveien towards Fossen Camping at Geirangerveien 261. The route is scenic but be prepared for some uphill stretches. It’s about a 15-minute ride.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route upon arriving in Geiranger, you can take a taxi from the bus station directly to Fossen Camping. This will cost you approximately 150-250 NOK depending on the time of day and availability. The taxi ride should take about 5-10 minutes.
