Getting There

• Car

  From Oppdal, take the E6 highway northbound towards Trondheim. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Ålvundeid on Route 65. Continue on Route 65 for around 15 kilometers until you reach the village of Ålvundeid. Once in Ålvundeid, look for signs directing you to Innerdalen. The drive will take approximately 50 minutes. Note that parking may be available near the trailhead, but it's advisable to check for any parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  From the Oppdal bus station, take a bus heading to Ålvundeid. Check the local bus schedule for specific times, as services may vary. The bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Ålvundeid, you may need to arrange for a taxi or check if there are local shuttle services to take you closer to Innerdalen, as it may be a short distance from the bus stop. It's important to verify if any additional transportation costs are involved.

• Hiking

  If you are already in Ålvundeid and prefer a more adventurous route, you can start hiking from the village. There are marked trails that lead into Innerdalen, which is about a 2-3 hour hike depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and check the local trail maps for directions. Remember to carry enough water and snacks for the hike.
