If you're driving, start from any location in Oppland and head towards Route 7 (Riksvei 7). Follow Route 7 towards Nesbyen. Once you reach Nesbyen, look for Møllevegen, where the Hallingdal Museum is located at number 18. The museum has a parking area available for visitors.

To reach Hallingdal Museum via public transportation, take a train or bus to Nesbyen. If you're coming from Oslo or Bergen, you can take a train to Gol and then transfer to a local bus to Nesbyen. Once you arrive at the Nesbyen bus station, it's a short 10-minute walk to the museum. Head southeast on Møllevegen, and the museum will be on your left at Møllevegen 18.
