Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Otta via the E6 highway, which is the main route through Oppland. Once you reach Otta, follow the signs to Kongsvegen. The River Intersection Point is located on Kongsvegen, approximately 2 km from the center of Otta. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may be limited during peak tourist seasons. Make sure to bring cash or a credit card for any potential parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  To reach River Intersection Point using public transportation, take a bus to Otta from major towns in Oppland such as Lillehammer or Gjøvik. The bus services are operated by the Oppland public transport system, and you can check their schedules online. Once you arrive at Otta bus station, exit the station and walk towards Kongsvegen, which is about a 25-minute walk (2 km). Alternatively, you can use a taxi service from the bus station to the River Intersection Point, which should cost around 150 NOK.

• Bicycle

  For those interested in cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Otta. There are several rental shops available. From Otta, take the bicycle path that leads along Kongsvegen towards the River Intersection Point. The ride is approximately 2 km and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Ensure you have a map or GPS device handy, as some paths may not be well-marked.
