Getting There

• Car

  From the central area of Rondane National Park, head towards the Fv27 road. If you're traveling from the north, take the E6 highway southbound until you reach the junction with Fv27 near Folldal. If coming from the south, follow the E6 north and turn onto Fv27. Once on Fv27, continue driving for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass scenic views of the mountains and valleys characteristic of the park. Strømbu is located directly along Fv27, marked with clear signage. There is a parking lot available for visitors.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Strømbu via public transport, first take a train to Hjerkinn or Folldal. From Hjerkinn, you can catch a bus that heads towards Folldal. Check local schedules for the exact bus times as they can vary. Once you arrive in Folldal, you may need to arrange for a taxi or look for local shuttle services that can take you to Strømbu, which is about 15 kilometers away. Always confirm the availability of public transport options in advance, as they can be limited, especially during off-peak seasons.

  If you prefer a direct route and are already in Folldal, consider taking a taxi to Strømbu. Taxis can be booked through local taxi companies.
