If you are starting from the city center of Stavanger, head southeast toward Øvre Holmegate, which is a vibrant street known for its colorful wooden houses. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lagårdsveien. Turn left onto Lagårdsveien and continue until you see the entrance to the harbor on your right. Walk along the waterfront promenade, enjoying views of the marina and the boats. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Norwegian Petroleum Museum located at Kjeringholmen 1a.

To reach the Norwegian Petroleum Museum by public transport, start at the Stavanger Bus Station. Take the bus number 1 or 2 towards Forus. Get off at the stop called 'Kjeringholmen'. From there, it's a short walk to the museum. Head towards the waterfront, and you will see the museum's entrance at Kjeringholmen 1a. The total travel time should be around 20-30 minutes, depending on the waiting time for the bus.
