Broken Column: A Sculptural Gem in Stavanger

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Stavanger's city center, head south on Løkkeveien towards Østre Strandgate. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lagårdsveien. Turn left onto Lagårdsveien and walk until you reach the next intersection. Turn right onto Bergelandsgata. Continue walking straight, and after a few minutes, you will find Broken Column: 10 Stavanger Tingrett located at Bergelandsgata 10, 4012 Stavanger. It is a notable sculpture, so keep an eye out for it as you approach.

• Public Transport

  From Stavanger's main bus terminal, take bus number 1 or 3 towards Madla. Get off at the 'Bergelandsgata' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk a short distance down Bergelandsgata, and you will see Broken Column: 10 Stavanger Tingrett located at number 10. The sculpture is easily visible from the street.

  If you are renting a bicycle in Stavanger, start from the city center and head south towards the harbor area. Follow the bike lanes along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Østre Strandgate. Turn left and continue until you reach Lagårdsveien. Take a right on Lagårdsveien and then a quick left onto Bergelandsgata. The Broken Column: 10 Stavanger Tingrett will be on your right as you cycle down the street.
