To reach the Ryfast Tunnel from the city center, you can take bus line 1 (Ruten) from the bus terminal at Jernbanetorget. Make sure to check the bus schedule since it can vary. Get off at the stop 'Vågen' and then transfer to bus line 3 towards 'Sola Flygplass' or 'Stavanger Universitet'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Ryfast Tunnel'. The tunnel entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in the city center, you can walk to the Ryfast Tunnel. Start at the Stavanger Cathedral, head south on Kirkegata, then take a left on Øvre Holmegate. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. From there, walk along the promenade heading east towards the tunnel area. It's approximately a 30-minute walk, and you’ll enjoy scenic views along the way.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental services in Stavanger. Start at the city center and head towards the waterfront. Follow the cycle path that runs along the river towards the Ryfast Tunnel. This route is approximately 4 km and should take about 15 minutes. Make sure to follow the signage for cyclists.
