Walking
If you are starting from the city center in Stavanger, head towards the waterfront. Walk along the pedestrian street, Øvre Holmegate, which is lined with colorful wooden houses and shops. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Østre Havnegate. Turn right and follow the road until you reach the end of the street. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Haakon VIIs gate. Continue walking straight for approximately 5-7 minutes. You will see Stavanger Cathedral on your left at Haakon VIIs gate 2.
Public Transport - Bus
If you prefer to take a bus from your location in Stavanger, head to the nearest bus stop. Use the Kolumbus app or website to check for buses heading towards the city center. Take any bus that stops at the 'Stavanger bussterminal' (the main bus station). Once you arrive at the bus terminal, exit the building and walk towards the pedestrian area. Head northeast along the pedestrian street, Øvre Holmegate, and then follow the same walking directions mentioned previously to reach Stavanger Cathedral.
Bicycle
If you plan to rent a bicycle, there are several bike rental stations around Stavanger. Once you have a bike, start from the city center and cycle towards the waterfront. Follow the bike lanes along the harbor, then turn onto Østre Havnegate. Continue cycling straight until you reach the roundabout, where you will take the second exit onto Haakon VIIs gate. The cathedral is approximately a 10-minute bike ride from the city center, located on your left at Haakon VIIs gate 2.
