Car
If you are driving from Skien, take E18 towards Porsgrunn. Continue on E18 for about 40 kilometers, then take the exit towards Rv36, following signs for Bø/Tjodalyng. After about 15 kilometers, follow the signs for Tjodalyng. Once in Tjodalyng, turn onto Kaupangveien, and continue for about 2 kilometers. Kaupang Vikingbyen will be on your left at Kaupangveien 276. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a train from Oslo to either Skien or Larvik. From Skien, you can take bus number 10 towards Tjodalyng. Make sure to get off at the stop called 'Kaupangveien'. From the bus stop, it is a short walk (approximately 500 meters) to Kaupang Vikingbyen. Follow Kaupangveien eastward until you reach the museum at Kaupangveien 276. Check the bus and train schedules in advance for the latest timings.
