At Nordkjosbotn, follow the signs to Route 91, and take a right turn to merge onto E6 towards Tromsø. After about 20 km, take the exit for Route 862 towards Kvaløya/Sommarøy. Follow Route 862 for about 30 km, where you will see signs for Sommarøy. The drive offers beautiful coastal views, and the area is well-signposted.
Public Transportation

To reach Sommarøy via public transportation, take the bus from Tromsø city center. You can catch the bus 42 from Tromsø to Kvaløya; you will need to check the current schedule as it may vary depending on the season. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Get off at the Sommarøy stop.
