If you are starting from Tromsdalen, make your way towards the Tromsdalen Church, which is a well-known landmark in the neighborhood. From the church, head uphill on the main road, which is called Tromsdalsvegen. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the cable car station called Fjellheisen. At the cable car station, you can purchase a ticket for approximately 210 NOK for a round trip to the mountain. After taking the cable car, follow the marked walking path that leads to the Tromsø city view point. This path is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the city as you ascend. The total walking distance to the cable car is about 15 minutes, and the cable car ride takes approximately 4 minutes.

For those preferring public transport, you can take bus number 26 from Tromsdalen. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop, Tromsdalen, and take it towards Tromsø city center. Get off at the stop called 'Fjellheisen'. It’s a short ride of about 10 minutes. From the bus stop, follow the signs to the Fjellheisen cable car station, which is a 5-minute walk. Once at the cable car station, buy your ticket (approximately 210 NOK for a round trip) and take the cable car up to the Tromsø city view point. The total journey time, including waiting and travel, could take around 30-40 minutes.
