Please note that parking may incur a fee, typically around 30 NOK per hour.

To reach Kristiansten Fortress via public transportation, take a bus to the 'Trondheim Sentralstasjon' (Trondheim Central Station). From there, catch bus number 1 towards 'Lade' or bus number 3 towards 'Singsaker'. Get off at the 'Dronningens gate' stop. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to the fortress. Follow 'Dronningens gate' and turn onto 'Kristianstensbakken' which leads directly to the fortress. A bus ticket costs around 40 NOK for a single journey.

You can also take the tram from 'Trondheim Sentralstasjon'. Board tram number 1 towards 'Lade'. Get off at the 'St. Olavs gate' stop. From there, it is a 20-minute walk to Kristiansten Fortress. Walk along 'St. Olavs gate', turn left onto 'Kongens gate', and then take a right onto 'Kristianstensbakken'. A single tram ticket costs approximately 40 NOK.
