Walking from Trondheim Central Station
Once you arrive at Trondheim Central Station (Trondheim Sentralstasjon), exit the station and head towards the main street, Kongens Gate. Walk straight along Kongens Gate for about 500 meters until you reach the large square, Torvet. From Torvet, continue walking straight until you reach the riverbank. You will see the Nidelva River ahead. Cross the bridge, called Gamle Bybro, which is a picturesque wooden bridge known as the Old Town Bridge. After crossing the bridge, take a left onto Øvre Bakklandet. Bakklandet is located along this street, and you can explore the charming wooden houses and cafes that line the river.

Bus from Trondheim Central Station
From Trondheim Central Station, walk to the nearby bus stop located directly outside the station. Look for bus lines that head towards Bakklandet, specifically lines 3 or 5. The bus will take you towards the city center. Get off at the stop called Bakklandet. Once you disembark, walk down the street (Øvre Bakklandet), where you will find the beautiful wooden houses and cafes that make this area famous.

Bicycle rental
If you prefer cycling, there are bike rental stations near Trondheim Central Station. Rent a bike and head towards the river. Follow the bike paths along the Nidelva River.
